On Instagram, Loera posted a long goodbye to her teammates and supporter's, but took a shot at her former club, saying: "I was not expecting this trade. It is incredibly disheartening to know that this took place after I had expressed my feelings about the kind of loyal person I am & my desire to finish out the contract I had agreed to with KC. Nonetheless, thank you KC for everything."
She was drafted by the Current in 2021 36th overall, where she came off of winning a national championship with the Santa Clara Broncos – a college not too far from where Bay FC are stationed. Call it a homecoming of sorts, but Bay FC are now thrilled to have Loera on board.
