It’s been a miserable start to the new campaign for Manchester United fans, but Hannibal Mejbri’s debut for the under-23 side has certainly given them something to cheer about.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is determined to give opportunities to the young players in his squad, with the likes of Mason Greenwood, Tahith Chong and Angel Gomes all featuring thus far.
One prodigy who is presumably still some way off the first-team however is Mejbri, given that he is just 16 years old.
That hasn’t stopped the summer signing wowing spectators for the under-23 side this week though, as he was introduced as a substitute in a 4-1 defeat to Aston Villa on Tuesday night.
Despite the defeat, the young Frenchman, signed earlier this year for a fee in the region of £9m, oozed class and confidence in his first appearance for the under-23s.
The Red Devils already have one mercurial French talent in their midfield with noteworthy hair, and it seems they could have another in the future going from the reactions down below…
