Sheffield Wednesday are in a poor run of form at the moment, winning just one of their previous 11 league games, and things may be about to get that much harder for them.
The Owls travel to St Andrew’s on Saturday to face off against Birmingham City, a side that are currently on a 10 game unbeaten run.
The league table has these two as very evenly matched sides, both sitting on the same number of points, but with Birmingham in red-hot form and Wednesday faltering this match could be a tough one for the Owls.

However, if they somehow rediscover the form that saw them sat third in the league after 23 games they should be able to overcome the Blues, but if they are to do that then Garry Monk needs to be fully focused on the task ahead.
This game against Birmingham will be a real test of the 40-year-old’s mental grit.
Not only are some fans calling for his head, but he’s also coming up against his former club and one of his biggest adversaries in the shape of Pep Clotet.
Of course, Clotet is Monk’s former assistant manager, and he ended up replacing him at Birmingham after his unceremonious sacking last summer.
The Owls’ gaffer made his views on the Spaniard very clear earlier this season in his press conference, and he even refused to shake his hand when the two sides last met.
With Birmingham unbeaten in ten, and the Owls in poor form there’s only one man who is set up to win the mind games battle here. If Monk allows Clotet to get to him in one way or another then the game could be lost before it even kicks off.
In other news, one man is repaying the faith Sheffield Wednesday have shown in him.
